Colorbond is made by taking Zincalume ( a Zinc and Aluminium alloy coating ) that delivers outstanding anti-corrosion performance and is lightweight, yet extremely strong. A conversion layer is applied to the surface to improve adhesion and then a polyester primer is baked on, followed by a top coat of specially developed, exterior grade paint which is again baked on. All ensuring maximum resistence to chipping, peeling or cracking. Colorbond Roofing is manufactured in Australia, so not only do you protect your home , you are supporting the Australian economy. There are 22 colours available ( See some colours below ) .
We prepare your roof by stripping off the old roofing material and then fitting new Timber Battens to ensure a straight finish.
A Heavy-duty Anti-condensation Blanket is then laid and the Colorbond roof sheeting goes over the top. The entire roof is then made watertight with custom-made Flashings, Roll Top Ridge Capping and Valley Gutters as needed. We can also install Skylights and Whirlybirds. The entire process can take 2 to 5 days depending on the size and complexity of your roof.
We will ensure that your roof is left weatherproof each night, as well as making sure the area is clean and any materials are put out of the way, so that there are no unexpected surprises.
To ensure that you get the best service, we provide our most experienced technicians to inspect and quote on your roof. They are always happy to answer any questions that you may have and to explain the process

FAQ’s
Frequently asked
Colorbond questions, answered
What warranty comes with a Colorbond roof?
A Colorbond roof replacement carries a 25-year manufacturer's warranty on the materials, and All Roofing Services adds a 7-year workmanship warranty on the installation. The two cover different things: the manufacturer stands behind the steel and its coating, and we stand behind how it was put on.
What is Colorbond actually made of?
Colorbond starts as Zincalume, a zinc and aluminium alloy coating over steel, which gives it its anti-corrosion performance while staying lightweight and strong. The colour finish is baked on over that base. It has been tested in some of Australia's harshest conditions for around 40 years.
Can any roof be changed to Colorbond?
We can transform just about any roof into a new Colorbond roof, including tile roofs. Because metal is lighter than tile, the change usually reduces the load on your home's structure rather than adding to it.
Is Colorbond or Zincalume the better choice?
They are the same base product with a different finish, so it mostly comes down to appearance and setting. Zincalume is the bare alloy finish, Colorbond adds a baked-on colour. If matching the look of your home or a streetscape matters, Colorbond gives you the colour range. We will go through it with you and help with colour choice as part of the quote.
Does a Colorbond roof help with heat?
Coated in heat-reflective paint, a metal roof can act as a good insulator and help keep a home cooler, which matters under the Australian sun. Insulation options have advanced considerably over the last decade, so it is worth looking at the roof and the insulation together rather than separately.
