What is a service contract?
A Service Contract is a period of time, between 1-10 years where we will inspect and carry out any necessary maintenance or repairs on a scheduled or on-call basis. This is done to ensure your roof lasts as long as possible and functions as well as possible. There are varying types of contract depending on the roof condition and your specific needs.
Why would you want a service contract for your roof?
Unfortunately roofs do not last for ever, even if they come with a “lifetime warranty”. Leaves and rubbish can build up in places, especially gutters, and impair the function of the roof. Storms and high winds can do damage that isn’t obvious from the ground, rubber or sealant components of the roof will tend to perish and need to be replaced and other general maintenance is often required.
Waiting until your roof is leaking to do the necessary maintenance but this can actually be the more expensive way to maintain your roof. A leaking roof is causing damage to the ceiling to one degree or another and potentially can damage stock damage or cause electrical short circuits. For a business this can be extremely expensive, not only in the direct cost but also in the time involved by employees and executives as a roof leak suddenly becomes the most important thing to sort out to keep business running as usual.
The number of requests for help coming in after bad weather can mean a long wait before someone comes out to you, and then if you accept the quote it can mean another few weeks before the work is carried out. A number of roofers just turn off their phones after a big rain, or just don’t turn up when they say they will. We turn up when we say we will or we call to let you know.
An All Roofing Services P/L Service Contract provides you with preferential access to our professional services. All work is carried out by our professional and experienced tradesmen who know how to work on roofs safely and prevent unnecessary damage. We offer 3 different contracts:
Gutter Cleaning Contract
Our most popular type of service contract is gutter cleaning. Keeping your gutters clean is essential for them to work effectively. Blocked or partially blocked gutters will tend to overflow creating a waterfall effect and subsequent damage underneath. The frequency of the gutter cleaning will depend on the amount of leaves falling onto the roof and the potential for damage should the gutter overflow. The price will vary depending on access, pitch of roof and volume of material that needs to be removed.
Preferential Service Contract
This type of contract is good for a business (or homeowner) where speed of service and professionalism are paramount. After a storm or during a particularly wet period, trying to get a roofer out to repair a roof leak can be very difficult. We offer:
– Fast Response to Leaks! VIP Service
– We guarantee to rapidly respond to your roof leak and effect a temporary repair on the spot (if possible). More significant repairs will be quoted for and carried out promptly once quote is accepted.
– Flat Fee of $990 (incl GST) per annum (If more than 4 call outs are needed in a year, subsequent call outs will be charged at $330 incl GST—you will still get preferential service)
Inspection and Maintenance Contract
This contract provides Periodic Inspections done (usually annually or bi-annually) – the cost varies depending primarily on the size and condition of the roof being maintained.
– Immediate repairs carried out on any thing found e.g. patching and sealing potential leak areas and cleaning debris off the roof and out of the gutters.
– Free quotes for more significant repairs needed.
– Plus all the benefits of our Preferential Service Contract.
